This site came to market with an unworkable planning consent. We were the successful bidder, requiring many changes to the existing planning consent. The legacy scheme was particularly inefficient, weighed down with tree preservation orders and failing to meet both the housing association and housing corporation’s requirements for grant funding. Additionally, a main sewer running through part of the site, forced us to redesign part of the scheme. With some diligent value engineering, we achieved a more economical design, meeting grant funding requirements.
